Our Pastor’s Story
Pastor Henry Johnson III was raised in Texarkana, Texas, by a strong and faithful single mother who taught him the value of hard work, humility, and trust in God. He graduated from Liberty‑Eylau High School in Texarkana and went on to study at the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science. On June 17, 2005, Pastor Johnson preached his first sermon at The Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. What began as a single sermon grew into a lifelong calling. He went on to serve Greater Friendship as an associate minister for 20 years, faithfully preaching, teaching, and serving God’s people. On August 18, 2007, Henry married his best friend, Michelle McMillion. Under the leadership of his pastor, Dr. Houston White, he received his certificate of ordination on December 9, 2007, at Greater Friendship. Today, Pastor Henry and Sister Michelle have been joyfully married for 18 years and are the proud parents of three children: Makya, Aiden, and Kendall. Their home is built on prayer, love, and a shared commitment to serving Christ and His church.
